Toddler tasks

Luna is playing with her simplest puzzle. I love the position of her feet here. It’s always pleasing to see her discover her own things and dive right in. I keep the shelf in the background pretty open. Diapers on the middle shelf are there for her. She will pick them out when the time is right. The bottom level stores a few puzzles and books and a basket with a few balls.

We will recreate this task tomorrow. We already do similar activities with a porcelain pig and coins. She loves it.

I adore these letter pouches with small cooresponding objects. It would take some work to collect all of the objects. It is very inspiring indeed! What tasks do you present your toddler with?

Water Play

I set up an impromptu kiddie pool on the porch because we’ve had a series of scorchers lately. Ideally, I want to collect some boats and ducks or other floating toys for her to add more moving objects. She was scared of the watering can, because she hates having water poured over her head!

Eventually I filled up the can for her and she enjoyed pouring it out.

We love water play!
