Hey folks! We spent the weekend at a frisbee tournament in Kentucky.
It was actually quite lovely weather until it hit about 1pm!
Unfortunately the boys lost all 5 games and were exhausted. They had fun reuniting to play some frisbee just like in their old college days. 
I relaxed in the camping chair and tried to stay cool and hydrated.
We had a fantastic dinner at a pizza place called BoomBozz, which has amassed several awards for pizza in the city. A greek salad followed by a thin crust tomato-bazil pizza spilt with the hubz was a perfect choice for our appetites.
Then of course, we topped it off with ice cream. I had a scoop of mint chocolate chip from the place down the road. Hubz got caramel, which surprised me by not being too rich.

Hey, there!
I hope everyone is having a lovely week so far. Our CSA loaded us up on okra, so I tried sauteeing it with a cornmeal and flour breading. The hubz loved it. Instead of “deep-frying,” I just used a few teaspoons of safflower oil and that did the trick! I paired the okra with BBQ sandwiches and fresh tomato slices. The BBQ was from Gardein, so it was meatless and packed with protein and flavor. We were again stunned at how much it tastes like pulled pork.
This morning I sit at my computer desk and see that it is going to be 105-110 heat index today. Exercising outside seems fairly ridiculous, if not outright risky at times! I got a request from CSN stores to do a review of some extra thick and eco-friendly yoga mats. Yoga is one of my favorite forms of INDOOR exercise, though I’ve done it outside as well. Just wanted to let you know that that review is coming.
How do you manage to stay fit when the weather doesn’t cooperate? We basically have 3-4 months of intense heat here in the South.
