Tempeh trial and a special announcement

Good morning folks! I have an exciting announcement, but first, here are some of my recent concoctions!

Last night, the hubz made amazing tempeh sandwiches for us. I can’t take credit for it, because it was his brainchild. :-D Have you ever tried tempeh? I love its nutty texture. It is also super filling with tons of protein. He sautéed onions and mushrooms and melted pepper jack cheese over the sandwiches. Then he brought some fantastic sweet potato fries out of the oven! Heavenly! Here was my plate.

Again, this rocked with homemade barbeque sauce. Thanks, Lyndsay!

For breakfast I made some banana steel cut oats and mixed in almond milk, flax seed, and some figs. So delicious.

Now for the announcement! Cookware.com is a site with an amazing array of bakeware, cultery, and tableware. They carry small appliances and other must-haves, including some amazing deals on Rachael Ray Cookware here. Check them out!

They contacted me about hosting a giveaway. I was thrilled to accept. Here’s what is up for grabs. You can win your own gorgeous Le Creuset Casserole in Cobalt blue, just in time for your holiday cooking.

Here’s why I love Le Creuset’s stoneware:

  • Does not absorb odors and flavors
  • Oven and microwave safe
  • Durable, non-porous enamel resists chipping, scratching, staining
  • Convenient grip handles
  • Refrigerator and freezer safe

I’m so pumped to have a fun giveaway for you all, because you are awesome. Here’s how you can win! You get up to 4 entries!

  • Leave a comment about what you’d make in the casserole dish (roasted root veggies, a rich gratin, a sweet fruit crisp?).
  • Post on your blog about the giveaway with a link
  • Add me to your Blogroll
  • Subscribe to my blog (via Google reader, for example)

Be sure to leave a separate comment for each entry. :-D Good luck! The giveaway ends Saturday at 6pm EST. I’ll post the randomly-selected winner on Sunday.

Have a great day, everyone! I’m so excited, if you can’t tell. :-)
